Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 June 2026.
BlabberFish is a content marketing product operated by Ascentspark Software Pvt. Ltd. (“Ascentspark”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at Unit 1102, 11th Floor, P.S. Srijan Corporate Park, G2 Block GP, Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata 700075, West Bengal, India. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the BlabberFish website and application (the “Service”).
We act as a data fiduciary / controller for personal data about our account holders and website visitors, and as a data processor for the content and source material you connect so the Service can work on your behalf.
1. Who to contact

2. The data we collect
- Account data - name, work email, password (hashed) and workspace settings.
- Brand & configuration data - your brand voice, goals, content plan, the author voices you define and the sources/platforms you connect.
- Content data - the source material the Service reads on your instruction and the drafts, posts and campaigns it produces and (on your approval) publishes.
- Connected-account data - scoped, revocable access tokens for the third-party platforms you choose to connect.
- Usage & device data - log data, approximate location (from IP), device/browser information and product analytics.
- Cookies & similar technologies - see section 6.
3. How and why we use data
We use personal data to: run the Service (watch your sources, produce drafts in your voice, fact-check, schedule and publish on your approval); create and secure your account; provide support; improve and develop the Service; communicate with you; and meet legal obligations.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: contract (to provide the Service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure, support and improve the Service), consent (for optional marketing and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time) and legal obligation. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private content to train AI models for other customers.
4. AI processing & sub-processors
BlabberFish runs on AI. To research, draft, fact-check and optimise your content, the Service sends relevant material to trusted third-party AI/LLM providers and other infrastructure sub-processors that act on our instructions under contract. These providers process content only to deliver the Service and are not permitted to use your private content to train their general models. A current list of sub-processors is available on request from support@ascentspark.com.
5. Sharing & disclosure
We share personal data only with: service providers and sub-processors who operate the Service (hosting, AI providers, analytics, communications); the publishing platforms you explicitly connect; professional advisers; and authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety. In the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer subject to this Policy. We do not sell personal data.
6. Cookies, analytics & marketing
We use strictly-necessary cookies (for example, to keep you signed in and remember your light/dark theme), and - with your consent where required - analytics and marketing/advertising technologies to understand usage and measure campaigns. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any consent controls we provide.
7. International transfers
We operate on cloud infrastructure that may store and process data in multiple regions, so your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including outside India and the EEA/UK. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent contractual and technical measures.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting or security obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your content and account at any time (see section 10).
9. Security
We protect data with current best practice: encryption in transit, access controls, scoped and revocable third-party connections, and ongoing monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but security is built into how we work - it is what Ascentspark has done for over a decade.
10. Your content is yours
- Export your content, voice profiles and settings at any time.
- Delete them, and your account, whenever you like.
- Connected-platform access is scoped and revocable from your side.
You can do all of this yourself from within the app. You can also request deletion of your data, or raise any data-related query, by contacting our Data Protection Officer at support@ascentspark.com, and we will action it for you.
11. Your rights
Wherever you are in the world, we extend the same core privacy rights to everyone who uses BlabberFish. You can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy you can take with you;
- correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date;
- delete your data and close your account;
- restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw any consent you gave;
- raise a concern about how we have handled your data.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional or more specific rights, and we honour these where they apply - for example under India’s DPDP Act, 2023, the EU/UK GDPR, or California’s CCPA/CPRA (including the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information). We do not sell your personal data and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights. If a statutory body oversees these rights where you live (such as the Data Protection Board of India or an EU/UK supervisory authority), you may also approach it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at support@ascentspark.com. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
12. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; where verifiable parental consent is required by law for any individual, we will obtain it or not process the data.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the product and the law evolve. We will post the revised version here with a new “last updated” date and, where the change is material, tell you directly.
